Although many of you will be fairly familiar with the members of the panel discussion at the upcoming Journal of Marketing Breakfast Debate, I still thought it a good idea to take a look at each individual and their specific background.
- Michael Markovitz – Executive Chairman Primedia Digital
Michael Markovitz is the Executive Chairman of Primedia’s digital division and has responsibility for businesses in the mobile content, online advertising, web development and digital signage markets. Michael joined Primedia in 2005 to handle acquisitions and innovations in the digital space. In the past three years, his deals included the acquisition of Exactmobile, Prezence and Spectrum. Michael was appointed head of Primedia Digital in August 2008.
- Heidi Brauer– Executive Manager, Group Marketing Comair (Kulula and BA)
Heidi joined Comair in January this year after 12 years as Marketing Director and Depute CEO at Markinor, specializing in marketing & branding and customer loyalty work. Heidi is responsible for all aspects of marketing and brand, loyalty and customer centricity. Heidi is a passionate South African, wife daughter, sister mother of 2 teenage sons, voracious reader, lover of challenge & change, and a member of Vega Brand School National Advisory Council Board, Board member of ABC and a regular contributor to business & industry media, lecturers and conference speakers.
- Jaco Meiring, Head Online Marketing, Investec Bank Ltd
Jaco Meiring heads up online marketing and internal digital communications for Investec. He has been dabbling Internet related matters for approximately 13 years and views digital channels such as the Internet and mobile as critical channels in the marketing mix, which are greatly misunderstood and hugely oversold.
